Specifications
The Ekelund is a smaller felling axe with the same head as Qvarfot, but the handle is shorter which makes is more mobile and easier to carry. The axe is named after Gunnar Ekelund, the former owner of Hults Bruk who decided to produce axes in a modern way at a larger scale in 1870–75. Like all our axes, the Ekelund is hand forged and made from Swedish recycled CO2 neutral steel. The wooden handle is made from American hickory, treated with linseed oil. The leather axe sheath is made in Sweden, from Swedish certified leather.
